| The
HKSAR Government has initiated the establishment of the Digital
Trade and Transportation Network (DTTN) with the vision of enhancing
the overall competitiveness of Hong Kong through an open, secure
and reliable community e-platform to facilitate information
flow and service integration to link Hong Kong with the Mainland,
and the rest of the world. The DTTN also aims to be a catalyst
to promote electronic business adoption, especially by SMEs.

| The
primary objective of the Project is to encourage the software
industry to participate, not only in the development of the
simple front-end software for document preparation and exchange
via the DTTN, but also develop other value added services that
SMEs will use in conjunction with the DTTN. |

The selected IT vendors will benefit in several ways: |

Receive seed capital to develop the Front-end Software on which other value added applications of their choice can be further developed |

Additional business opportunities for e-business application will be generated as a result not only from this Project but also of the general increase in awareness of the value of e-business |
|
Participate in the DTTN hosted marketing and promotional activities to showcase their products / services |
