DTTNCo Awarded DTTN-Enabled Certificates to 13 Software Vendors

DTTNCo awarded DTTN-Enabled Certificates to 13 software vendors at the Seminar on "China New Labour Law and DTTN Compatible Solutions Showcase" organized by the Hong Kong Productivity Council on 8 April 2008.

Ms. Agnes Nardi, Chairman of DTTNCo, was invited to present the DTTN-Enabled Certificates to 13 software vendors. This award is a recognition of applications developed by these vendors that have passed the DTTN Compliance Test Program. Committed to providing an open, stable and reliable e-commerce platform for the trade, logistics and finance industries to facilitate information exchange, DTTNCo actively explores partnerships with software vendors to develop easy-to-use e-Commerce solutions that enable the SMEs to exchange e-business documents with their trading partners via the DTTN platform.

In the seminar, we were also honored to invite two solicitors from Asia Pacific Law Association to give us a speech on the implementation and impact of the China New Labour Law towards Hong Kong manufacturing. The seminer attracted over 200 audiences.

Successful Story - Famous Pacific Shipping (HK) Limited

On a typical day, the number of documents that pass through a trading company will number several dozen at the least, and may even exceed a hundred. To process these documents efficiently is no easy task. To improve operational efficiency, the Hong Kong-based international logistics and transportation firm Famous Pacific Shipping (HK) Limited ("FPS") has adopted the DTTN solution, a move which has greatly simplified the company's document management process.

Improved Company Efficiency by 20-30%

David K.W. Wong, FPS's Operations Manager - Hong Kong, says, "Before adopting the DTTN solution, whenever we had received a fax or an email order from a client, the details had to be input manually to our internal system. Now, with the DTTN solution, all information received from our clients is transmitted through the DTTN platform and uploaded to our internal system automatically. This avoids the hassle of re-entering data and reduces the risk of error. All it takes is the press of a few buttons, and in a matter of seconds the job is done. DTTN has reduced the time required for such tasks by 20 to 30%, and this may reach more than 40% in the future. This will bring an improvement on the company's efficiency and competitive strength."

Facilitated Business Process with Overseas Clients

As Edmond Tong, Director of FPS, explains that business processes are increasingly being automated, this trend will soon become a standard practice, as it can greatly reduce costs. Moreover the existence of electronic platforms like DTTN means the facilitation of companies' businesses and trade activities with overseas clients in places like Singapore, Europe and the US. He further points out that the increasing popularity of e-commerce in recent years has accelerated the trend towards environmental protection. Indeed, many business offices have already become "paperless". He believes that electronic platforms like DTTN will become more and more popular.
